BRYCE BEISNER, Men's Basketball

Beloit Senior Bryce Beisner has been named the NCKSSports.com/Cunningham Telephone and Cable Athlete of the Week.

Beisner had a career year in helping lead the Beloit Trojans boys basketball team to a 3rd Place finish at the 3A State Tournament in 2023-24.  Beloit went 24-2 overall and won the North Central Activities Association title outright with a 10-0 record.  Beisner was the leader of the cause and his efforts are being rewarded with multiple postseason honors.

Beisner has been named the 3A Boys Player of the Year by Sports in Kansas and the Wichita Eagle.  Both of those outlets also have him on their 3A All-Class first team selections, while the Wichita Eagle put him on the third team of the Top 15 in all classes.  KSHSAA Covered also honored Beisner on the third team in the Top 15 for all classes and he was a first team all-State pick in 3A as well.  Beisner's latest honor was a 1st Team all-State selection by the Kansas Basketball Coaches Association.

Beisner finished the season averaging 16.5 ppg, 7.7 rpg, 2.5 bpg and 2.4 apg.  He shot 57% from the floor and 78% (108-139) at the free throw line.  He wasn't a high volume three-point shooter, but made eight of 18 attempts on the season.  For his career, Beisner finished with 1,115 points, 621 rebounds and 238 blocked shots.  His averages were 12.5 ppg, 7.0 rpg and 2.7 bpg.
