Ellsworth Hosts Cross Country Invitational
Ellsworth High School hosted their annual cross country invitational on Tuesday afternoon. In the girls varsity 5K, Smoky Valley took first place followed by Minneapolis. Eden Bathurst of Smoky Valley was the individual champion with a time of 21:02.71 with Minneapolis' Alayna Coosaart taking home 2nd place, while Jenna Balluch of Beloit finished 8th and Republic County's Ellie Callaway was 10th to round out area top ten runners. In the boys varsity 5K, Abilene took first place as a team. The individual champion was Drew Elliott of Chapman at 17:07.47. The top area finisher was Lance Lundine of Beloit in 4th place, while Ellsworth's Byron Johnson finished 6th. Full results for the event can be found below.
