Seyfert Signs with KU Football

Beloit Senior Grady Seyfert officially signed his preferred walk-on offer with the University of Kansas football program on Wednesday at Beloit Jr/Sr High School.  Seyfert has been one of the top players in the state of Kansas over the past two seasons, being named the 2A Defensive Player of the Year by Sports In Kansas two straight years.  He was also named first team all-state by numerous outlets during his career and first team all-league as on offensive and defensive lineman the past two seasons.  Seyfert registered 54 tackles with 38 solo, along with 25 tackles for loss and two fumble recoveries.  He also led an offensive line that paved the way for just under 2,900 rushing yards in 2022.  As a junior in 2021, Seyfert had 71 total tackles and 25 tackles for loss and helped lead Beloit to a state runner-up finish in 2A.  Seyfert chose KU over numerous NCAA DII offers.
