On Heels of Retirement, Niemczyk Selected for KWCA Hall of Fame

Beloit High School wrestling coach Andy Niemczyk has been elected into the Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2023.  This honor comes after Niemczyk announced last week to his team that he was retiring from his position as the Beloit wrestling coach.  In an interview about the Hall of Fame honor with KD Country 94 and Z 96.3 "The Lake" Sports Director Dusty Deines, Niemczyk confirmed his retirement publicly.  

Niemczyk has had an outstanding career with the Trojan wrestling program.  Under his tutelage the past 37 years, the Beloit wrestling program has had 97 individual state placers, 23 of which were state champions.  Niemczyk also coached Beloit to the 2007 3-2-1A State Championship and has had five teams overall that placed at state.

As for the Hall of Fame honor, Niemczyk along with Doug Vander Linden of Burlington High School, Travis Keal from Mill Valley High School and Tyler Caldwell of Goddard High School and Oklahoma State University will all be officially inducted into the KWCA Hall of Fame at the association's annual fall clinic and awards banquet in Salina in October.
