NPL & TVC Split State-Line Basketball All-Star Games

The 9th Annual Twin Valley Conference (NE)/Northern Plains League (KS) State Line All-Star Basketball Games took place in Mankato on Saturday.  The games were split with the NPL Girls winning 46-37 and the TVC Boys picking up a 76-75 win.

In the girls game, the TVC led 9-4 after one quarter, but the NPL used a 12-5 second quarter to lead 20-14 at half.  Tied at 25 after three, the NPL outscored the TVC 21-12 in the 4th quarter for the win.  Trinity Lutters of Osborne scored all nine of her points in the final quarter.  Keeli Knobbe of Sylvan-Lucas scored a game high 16 points, while Toree Slavik from Thunder Ridge added 10 in the win.

In the boys game, it was a tight game throughout as the NPL led 43-40 at halftime and 57-56 after 3.  The TVC outscored the NPL 20-18 in the fourth for the one-point win.  Thunder Ridge post JaShawn Dodds led three players in double figures for the NPL with a game-high 26 points.  Longhorn players combined for 49 of the 75 poins for the NPL as Jace Randall added 12 and Dylan Bice scored 11.
