KSHSAA Releases 2023-24 Regular Classifications and 2024-25 Football Classifications

The Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA) has released their classifications for all sports other than football for this school year.  

From the nckssports.com area, only two schools will change classes from last school year.  Concordia, along with Scott City, has 323 students, which is the lowest number in Class 4A, bumping them up from 3A by one student.  Lincoln moves up to 2A from 1A with 111 students, three more than the 108 cutoff in 1A.  Schools staying in the same classification from the area are as follows: 3A: Beloit, Ellsworth, Minneapolis and Southeast of Saline; 2A: Republic County, Smith Center and Sacred Heart; 1A: Glasco, Lakeside, Miltonvale, Natoma, Osborne, Rock Hills, Pike Valley, St. John's, Stockton, Sylvan-Lucas, Tescott, Thunder Ridge and Tipton.  A full look at the breakdown is below.

2023-24 KSHSAA Classifications

KSHSAA also released their classifications for the 2024-25 football district cycle.  The only area changes in those classes involve Lakeside and Sylvan-Lucas moving up to 8-Man DI from 8-Man DII.  Concordia remains in 3A; Beloit, Ellsworth, Minneapolis and Southeast of Saline are 2A; and Republic County, Sacred Heart and Smith Center are all 1A in 11-Man.  Joining Lakeside and Sylvan-Lucas in the 8-Man DI ranks from the area are Lincoln, Rock Hills and Stockton.  Osborne, Pike Valley, St. John's/Tipton and Thunder Ridge all remain in 8-Man DII and Southern Cloud and Tescott will continue to play 6-Man football.  A full look at football classes can be found at the link below.
