Thunder Ridge Senior Dylan Bice has been named the NCKSSports.com/Cunningham Telephone and Cable Athlete of the Week.
Bice has helped lead the Thunder Ridge football team to the Sub-State round of the KSHSAA playoffs for the second straight season in 8-Man DII. In a 62-46 win at Victoria on Friday night, Bice filled the stat sheet, combining for 366 total yards. He had 39 carries for 221 yards and four touchdowns rushing and also went 9-12 passing for 145 yards in the win. He also had 18 tackles with a tackle for loss on defense. With the performances on offense Friday, he went over 4,000 yards in his career in both rushing and passing. In 42 games over the past four season, Bice has run for 4,193 yards and 71 touchdowns and thrown for 4,029 yards and 36 TD. This season, he has run for a career high 1,605 yards and 28 scores and has added 1,266 yards and 10 TD passing. Bice has also been outstanding on defense this season with a career high 122 tackles with six for loss. He also has six total takeaways with four fumble recoveries and two interceptions.
