ELLA WILES, Women's Volleyball

St. John's/Tipton Senior Ella Wiles has been named the NCKSSports.com/Cunningham Telephone and Cable Athlete of the Week.

Wiles is off to a great start in her senior season on the volleyball court, helping lead St. John's/Tipton to an 11-2 record.  So far in 2022, Wiles already has 98 kills, averaging 3.4 per set with a hitting percentage of .232.  During the Clifton-Clyde NPL/TVL Challenge last Saturday, she passed the 500 kill mark in her career and is now at 528 career kills after the Thunder Ridge Triangular on Tuesday.  In five matches on Saturday, Wiles combined for 38 kills, registering a season high 12 in a win against Lincoln.  The Lady Jays finished 2nd at the tournament.  On Tuesday, she combined for 17 kills in the two matches against Pike Valley and Thunder Ridge.  Wiles leads the Lady Jays in kills and also has the most service aces (47), blocks (19), digs (108) and serve receives (96).
