CARLIE BRUMMER, Women's Basketball

St. John's/Tipton Junior Carlie Brummer has been named the NCKSSports.com/Cunningham Telephone and Cable Athlete of the Week.

Brummer has excelled of late during a six-game winning streak for the Lady Blujays basketball team.  She has scored in double figures in each of the last six games and has upped her average in the past four games.  On the season, Brummer is averaging just under 15 ppg for St. John's/Tipton.  Her top game was last Tuesday night, January 30 where she scored a career high 31 points in a 78-46 win at Thunder Ridge.  The Tuesday prior to that, she set her previous career high of 28 in a 61-49 home win over Bennington in Beloit.  Over the past four games, Brummer is averaging 22.3 ppg.  She scored 14 points in helping the Lady Jays to a 62-29 win over Lakeside on Tuesday night.
