Kresin Signs with Kansas Wesleyan Football
Lakeside Senior Ian Kresin signed his letter of intent to play college football on Friday. Kresin will play at the next level at Kansas Wesleyan University in Salina.
Kresin had an outstanding career at Lakeside, starting at the varsity level all four seasons. For his career, Kresin ran for 3,748 yards and 61 TD and added 575 yards receiving with 10 scores. This past season was his best offensively, rushing for 1,448 yards and over half of his career TD with 32 in his final campaign. He had 1,696 all-purpose yards as a senior, down from 1,889 yards in his junior year as he spent more time returning kicks in 2022. Kresin finished his career with 5,321 all-purpose yards and 75 total touchdowns. He was also a force on defense, registering 194 career tackles with 23 for loss. He added eight sacks, five interceptions and two fumble recoveries over his four seasons.
As a senior, Kresin was selected a first team all-class RB in 8-Man DII by KSHSAA Covered and was also selected to the 8-Man DII District 4 first team offense and second team defense. Kresin was also picked for the annual Kansas 8-Man All-Star Game this June in Beloit.
