Brummet Steps Down from Lakeside Volleyball
After nine seasons at the helm, Lakeside volleyball coach Michelle Brummet is stepping down.
Brummet led the Lady Knights to an overall record of 190-118 and 72-28 in the Northern Plains League. Six of the nine seasons she coached, the Lady Knights had winning records. Their best stretch was from 2020-21, compiling a record of 58-13 and 19-2 in the NPL. In 2021, Brummet led the Lady Knights to their first and only state tournament appearance in program history as they went 33-6 and 10-1 in league play. They went 2-1 at the 1A-DI State Tournament.
Losing some key players to graduation, Lakeside went 20-13 in 2022 and this past season they went 16-19 while integrating multiple freshmen at the varsity level.
KD Country 94 and Z 96.3 "The Lake" Sports had a chance to chat with Brummet about her decision as she joined Dusty Deines on the Sports Ticket on Wednesday morning. That interview is at the link below.
